How true should my wheels be at arrival?

We stress and true all of our wheels - either as wheelsets or on builds - before they ship out so they are ride ready. We true them within .5mm on a professional trueing stand. However, when the wheels are shipped, there is a chance that the wheels can slightly change due to either improper handling or temperature changes (thermal expansion of the components). This is usually within a mm of the original spec and can be easily adjusted at a shop. Unless it is significantly out of true (more than 3mm) or obviously damaged (box and wheel), it would not be considered a warranty, return or service repair issue.
