What are the specs for replacement parts? Or if I want to upgrade a part later?

Here are some guidelines for common replacement parts and/ or upgrade specs.

Bottom Bracket

Any English threaded (BSA) 68mm bottom bracket will into the bottom bracket shell. For spindle length, verify the length of your current spindle (by removing and checking the BB) or use the length recommended for the crankset you are using.

Spokes

NOTE: Some spoke lengths below may not always be available. You can go 1mm shorter or longer without any significant impact. We do not recommend going more than 1mm.

For wheelsets built from 2016 to present:

Lightweight/Standard wheelset

Front Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.8-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 290mm
Rear Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.8-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 291mm

The best and most widely available substitute for this spoke are DT Swiss Competition spokes.

Sub -15 wheelset

Front Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.5-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 279mm
Rear Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.5-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 287mm

The best and most widely available substitute for this spoke are DT Swiss Revolution spokes.

For wheelsets built prior to 2016:

Lightweight/Standard wheelset

Front Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.8-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 290mm
Rear Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.8-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 292mm

Sub -15 wheelset

Front Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.5-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 280mm
Rear Spoke: 14/15G double butted (2.0-1.5-2.0), J bend stainless steel spoke, 288mm

Wheel Bolts

Most of our current wheels take M6 x 22mm bolts. You can also use slightly shorter bolts of you can't locate 22mm lengths. There are older models that take M9-1.0 x 22mm and M10-1.0 x 22mm bolts.

Wheelset Hub Bearings

Use 6000 series sealed bearings with the following dimensions: 26mm (OD) x 10mm (ID) x 8mm (W).

Freewheels and Cogs

Our wheelset hubs are threaded for 1.37" x 24 tpi track cogs and freewheels. Note: While our hubs are FX/FX, you can install standard threaded freewheels on them without issue.

Headset

Any threadless headset made for a straight, 1-1/8" steerer tube with a 34mm ID. We also sell our stock headset here.

Stem

A stem that clamps to a 1-1/8" (28.6mm) steerer tube. Our handlebar clamps are 26mm, however it depends on what handlebars you are using. Our stock stems are 17d so they are horizontal to the top tube when installed.

Brake Calipers

Our Classic, Special and Lightning framesets are compatible with most short reach road calipers that have a 44-47mm reach.

Our Thunder frameset will be compatible with all brakes that attach to standard cantilever posts - Cantilevers, V-brakes and mini V-brakes.

Seat Post

All of our frames use a 27.2mm diameter seatpost. Our stock seatpost has a 24mm setback if you are looking to maintain the same geometry/fit.
